- Open your phone contacts and then tap on the name of contact to whom you want to assign the extension button. Once the contact details are in front of you, tap on the “Edit” button.
- Now, tap on the contact name and put the cursor at the end and then press “+*#” button to see more options.
- In this section, tap on “wait” and then add the extension of the person in his contact details. Finally press “Done” and exit the contact list.
- Now, if you will dial the contact then a “Dial 123” button will appear. By tapping on this button, the extension of the contact will be dialed automatically.
Alternatively, the extension can also be added from your Mac by accessing your contacts in address book. Simply add a semicolon to the number of the contact followed by the extension number.
Don’t forget to sync the contact list from same iCloud account to see that contact in your phone.
