Apple iPad mini Price will be Cheap ? We have already heard different rumors about the release of the iPad mini. Some says that it will be a 7.85” device with low end processor and cheap price. While the other depicts that it will be powerful device which will have Retina Display just like the new iPad, iPhone 4 and 4S. However, if we throw some light on how these rumors were actually originated? Then we will come to know that 1st of all a famous Weblog WSJ reported for the release of iPad, 2nd the folks over Bloomberg also claimed that Apple will release an iPad mini with 7.85” screen.

With the release of Nexus 7 and availability of it on the last Friday in US has added fuel to this fire. Now most of the analyst and news sources think that Apple will release an iPad mini with low price. However, Now the NYT (New York Times) has posted about the iPad mini with a screen size of 7.85” and cheaper price then the new iPad which is $499.
According to the post on NY Times:
The company is developing a new tablet with a 7.85-inch screen that is likely to sell for significantly less than the latest $499 iPad, with its 9.7-inch display, according to several people with knowledge of the project who declined to be named discussing confidential plans. The product is expected to be announced this year.
NY times have also posted something wired which will really surprise you. This is what they posted:
But the first tablet prototype Apple began developing in the mid-2000s had a seven-inch screen, said a former engineer at the company who helped build the smaller prototype and declined to be named to avoid upsetting people at the company today. Mr. Jobs thought the device was too small and wondered aloud what it was good for “besides surfing the Web in the bathroom,” this person said.
iPad is currently the most selling tablet in the tech industry which holds about 60-70% shares of whole tablet industry. So, Why Apple needs to release an iPad mini? Due to release of Kindle Fire and Google’s Nexus 7, Apple’s tablet market sales are decreased. So, probably now they need to release a new tablet with amazing features and low cost.
