Apple Sold 5 million iPhone 5 in First three days - Finally, Apple has announced sales number of iPhone 5 and like always, the fruit company didn’t fail to amaze their fans. Apple has sold whooping 5 million iPhone 5 in just three days, that’s a big achievement, indeed. This news came straightly from press release posted by Apple. According to the press release, in less than seven days of iOS 6 release, more than 100 million devices have been updated to iOS 6.

“Demand for iPhone 5 has been incredible and we are working hard to get an iPhone 5 into the hands of every customer who wants one as quickly as possible,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s CEO. “While we have sold out of our initial supply, stores continue to receive iPhone 5 shipments regularly and customers can continue to order online and receive an estimated delivery date. We appreciate everyone’s patience and are working hard to build enough iPhone 5s for everyone.”

Like previous iPhones, iPhone 5 has done an amazing job. Last year, Apple sold 4 million iPhone 4S on launch weekend while 1.7 million iPhone 4 were sold on launch weekend.  Currently, iPhone 5 is available in eight countries: US,

  • Australia
  • Canada
  • France
  • Germany
  • Hong Kong
  • Japan
  • Singapore
  • UK

However, it will be available in 22 more countries from 28 September; Apple has also promised to launch iPhone 5 in more than 100 countries by the end of this year.
