Either you need to hit refresh in the updates tab of cydia. or you can download an app to clear the cache which fixes the missing app icons – if they are totally gone you probably did something wrong or have a bad copy of the software…

i try to JB by using v2.04 it succeed and after restore all setting,i try open cydia it begin stuck and close by itself and cydia lost…
i try to reboot it,lot of my app was lost and i think to reJB it again so i reset all setting…but now it stuck at loading screen and nothing happen….please help me to solve this problem…

If you restore all settings it messes up your jailbreak. There is a reason but it would take to long to explain.

everytime i download absinthe and try the jailbreaking process on my sprint iphone 4s the program always force closes on my computer… what do i do now?
same with me, virgin mobile phone, but uses sprint network, dont know if that has anything to do with anything. Absinthe boots fine, but it force closes after i plug in my iphone 4s. Help!!

i dont understand how anyone can have a problem with this JB.. 5 minutes ago i didn’t have jailbreak. now i do.
1. get 5.1.1 on your iwhatever. can’t get it/have too old of a device? too bad.
2. back up on itunes – right click, backup, unless you wanna delete everything cuz u dont need it.
3. optional but makes things go much more quickly – settings – reset – erase all data/etc. (you backed it up remember?)
4. run absinthe.
5. press jailbreak
6. wait
7. ????
8. jailbroken.
9. restore from latest backup.
10. profit

Please help!!! I’ve been trying to download the absinthe jailbreak for windows but it wont download as a zip folder it just keeps showing up with a Micorsoft word icon. Right-clicking doesn’t even give me the option to unzip

when you click the absinthe v2.0.4 update
it should bring you to another page saying
“Sites
Download Attachment
Click here to download your attachment.”
click the word here and a zip file should download to desktop
next open the zip with winrar and extract the downloader to desktop
open it and command prompt will open
after a few minutes a new folder will come up on desktop, open it and run the absinthe program
open and plug in your idevice and then click jailbreak
wait like 10 minutes while it downloads and then your done!

Works like a charm!
Issue with battery drain though. When when not in use it drains 2% at least every 5-6 hours and when in use it drains it almost 1% every 2-5 minutes. Hope there’s a fix for this.

absinthe 2.0.4 everything works fine. Cydia works fine but when I try to use
iTunes app store or sign into itunes it says UNKNOWN ERROR
cancel or try again. No error code just says unknown error.
I don’t get why people make a big deal of things, if you follow the CLEAR ASS instructions they give it will work 100%.
1. Upgrade your device to 5.1.1 on your Iphone, Ipad, or Ipod.
2. MAKE SURE TO do a back up on itunes
3. do the reset = settings – reset – erase all data/etc.
4. Run Absinthe 2.0.4
5. Press jailbreak
6. wait
7. jailbroken
8. Then just restore from latest backup you did. If you forgot your an idiot..

Every time I run absinthe it just runs for a few seconds and then closes.I didn’t even see a jailbreak button

This is pretty easy to follow, I agree, but since I’ve unlocked it, my iPhone randomly shuts off, no matter the percent left on the battery. When I plug it back in, it boots up to a yellow screen and takes anywhere from 3 minutes to 3 hours to turn itself back on.

Sorry to SAY this but Absinth App is not working under Mountain Lion. The app quit immediately when I lunch it.
I tried it so many times, but still everytime I run the jailbreak, it says that absinthe.exe is not working anymore… Could anyone help me with this issue?

I downloaded absinthe 2.0.4 to jailbreak and unlock my iphone 3gs 5.1.1 it says its jailbroken however it is still says “no service”. This phone was not jailbroken prior to the 5.1.1 update. Can anyone help cause i’ve about had it with this whole freaking thing.
