Facebook Deleting Fake Accounts
Facebook Deleting Fake Accounts - Facebook is one of the largest Social Networking website with more than 845 million monthly active users. Everyone knows there are thousands of fake Facebook accounts that people use for all sorts of purposes. Facebook has finally rounded them up and are going to delete them. It’s being done in order to remove non-genuine likes in order to clean up the social network. Although it’s not very clear just how many accounts have been deleted, but a number of pages have seen a massive drop in the number of likes over the last two days.
Facebook Deleting Fake Accounts
TechCrunch was reported to say that Facebook has confirmed that it is finishing off fake accounts and page like increasing the authenticity of Facebook. Zygna’s Texas Holdem page lost around 96,000 likes in one day and that sure is a massive number of likes. Lady Gaga lost as well, around 31,700 fans in a day.
A lot of people will be upset after seeing this huge drop, and getting rid of all these fake accounts should also mean a lot less spam. However, they need to be careful not to remove real accounts by mistake, as that can happen. What are your thoughts? Feel free to leave comments.

nice remove the all jake 1
How are they recognizing fake accounts?
What’s the criteria for Facebook deciding what is and what’s not a fake account?
Just as the previous comment’s, I am also wondering how they are recognizing fake accounts.
In my opinion this can be potential for deleting active accounts.
Some if the accounts will be very easy to detect. They will just have to match names to dictionaries and current data. For example I have seen people on Facebook with names like, Edgar VelociraptorFan, Jaime FarmVille ….and such those will be the first one to go.
A made up screen name doesn’t necessarily mean the account is false, Fred.
If they want to clean up face book then how about deleting all this porn type site face book has!
