Fix Lock Down error -5
How to Fix Lock Down error -5 ? while Jailbreak with Absinthe 2.0 or Absinthe 2.0.1 on iOS 5.1.1 UnTethered Jailbreak.
We have received many comments on our Absinthe Jailbreak.com regarding an error message called “Lock Down error -5” in my opinion i think that in order to get a clean jailbreak i mean jailbreak without errors you have to restore your device first before starting your iOS 5.1.1 untethered jailbreak.
How To Fix “Lock Down error -5 :
When users see this problem all they need to do is the following:
1. Go to settings.
2. Go to general.
3. Go to reset.
4. Go to reset all of the content and the settings.
Make sure that you download the Absinthe 2.0.1 again and then you will need to run it after you have downloaded it. Some people have made a mistake and tried to fix it with just those few steps without downloading it again but it is very important that you download it or it might not fix properly.
got lockdown fault while jailbreaking but cydia installed ok and got all tweeks working ok. should i start again or just not worry about it?
I had the same thing happen to me. Can anyone help?
try to jb 5.1.1 but absinthe has a message that said “does not support your device” i have a 4g .
any help?

Simply…re-Update
Plug in you iPhone and run Itunes, Hold the Shift and press one click on Update in Itunes…that will update your iphone without losing anything from your data…after updating …you will be able to make a jailbreak…i tried this many times ant it worked
you need to have a copy of 5.1.1 firmware saved in your PC…

I did all teh above and I get an error saying “device not registered”
Are you sue we have to erase all the contents and settings ?

Hello everyone.
i had the same problem. error 5. i had fixed it my way.
at 1st.. i erased my iphones settings and contents from “Genarel–> Reset –> erase all settings and contants”.
after that.. phone reboots . i connected the phone with itune in the computer.Itune detects it but i didnt setup with itunes to go through the activation processes. at that moment i started Absinthe 2.04 and it went smoothly with out any problem.

i can’t erase mine iphone. It’s hanging in the reboot and only showing the cycling symbol.

I did the jailbreak and got this error, but on my ipod i still have cydia, i have not used it yet though……is it safe to use?
