Absinthe 2.0.1 supports all devices on iOS 5.1.1

So if you are using one of the above devices and you still get this message so try to reboot your device and change the USB port then disable the start up applications and try again follow the steps below we will show you how
Step 1: Click “Start” then select “Run”
Step 2: Then Write “msconfig” and click “Ok”
Step 3: you will be informed by the screen below then select “Startup” and disable all the startup application
Fix Absinthe 2.0.1 No Cydia icon after Jailbreak :
After Jailbreaaking your iPhone / iPod / iPad You have to wait until Absinthe complete the jailbreak process. and that is because the huge Traffic these days which needed to install Cydia App at the same Time.
You must know that Absinthe takes time to install the file. If after several tries and waiting period it does not show up , there is something wrong with the jailbreak or the process. try running it in Administrative mode if on a PC .

Getting ready to jailbreak but the absinthe 2.0 installer detects my Iphone 4 as iphone 3,3. Is that correct? I saw a video where an iphone 4 was clearly detected as iphone 4. I canceled out. Is anyone else seeing this?

My iPad 2 32gb+3G keeps hanging on wanting for reboot and after that, if I close and reopen absinthe it gives the lockdown error, I’ve manually restart the iPad and it gives me the lockdown error again making me erase all content or restore again. I’ve already done everything you’ve said on this post, I’ve tried more then 10 times each one, erased all content at least half a dozen times, restore 2 times IOS from scratch and still nothing… :S tried on OSX and on Windows 7 (bootcamp) and Windows 7 on a PC. This thing is so strange that on windows (bootcamp or PC) my iPad isn’t charging anymore… :S
If you want my logs or something, please tell me how to get them and how to send them to you.
Was able to finally overcome all the bugs that I was facing just by trying on my 12 year old PC with XP SP3… go figure that out…
how do i know my Ipad2 is an IPad2,1 or 2,2 or 2,3 or 2,4.

Make sure your iPad is 5.1.1 if it is, than you have a iPad 2,4 (the $399 one). Not supported yet. That is what I have so I would know. =(
I got the same problem to, but i have iphone 4..
had the same issue, but than I realized, that before I opened the exe file (started absinthe) I moved the exe to my desktop from the original folder. Than I moved it back opened it from there, and now works perfectly!

Ive been struggling with this for 3 days Sorry attached device is not supported. i was dragging absinthe.exe to the desktop. now ive left it in the folder where it came from and it WORKS….
Absinthe keeps crashing. Im trying to jailbreak my iphone 4 running ios 5.1.1 but when i run absinthe windows comes up with the error message that it has stopped working. ive tried it on another computer running windows 7 and i get the same result. Anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it??

UPDATE !!
I erased all the data on my iPhone4 (like it says to do in the readme.txt instructions) – and it worked perfectly. My iPhone was completely loaded with apps, games, music etc. and maybe absinthe cant handle the jailbreak if there is too much data. Sounds silly? I think so too. But it worked for me. Go figure….
I did a reset via Settings > General > Reset All and absinthe still crashes part ways.
I dont know what to do at this point..
P.S. I have a iPad 1 16gb wifi
My new iPad have successfully jailbrake by Absinthe 2.01. But…. Everytime I turn off my iPad n turn on again, all icon is fall apart. Anyone can help give me a solution??

Hey, I’ve got iPod touch 4g, after I jail broke my iPod the cyrus doesn’t start up. After clicking the Curia icon I return back to my screen.
Know what went wrong there? I did restore my iPod after jail breaking from my device i.e settings->general-> reset-> erase all data could that be the source of the problem?

Just did a complete restore to iOS 5.1.1 on my iPhone 4S. Absinthe 2.0.1 for the mac seems to hang on Waiting for Reboot. If I force close Absinthe, and relaunch, I get a lockdown error -5. I should have stayed with 5.0.1

I jailbroke my iPhone 3GS yesterday using absinthe 2.0.1. When it finished and rebooted my phone all of my main icons were gone(phone,mail,settings,etc.) I went ahead and did a restore to my phone. Once the restore was complete I tried to jailbreak again but in the middle of the jailbreak absinthe stopped responding and shut down. Now when I plug my device in it says that my device has attempted to be jailbroken before and that it needs to fix the problem. When it finishes fixing the problem it tells me to unplug my phone and plug it back up to jailbreak but the fixing process just starts over again, what can I do?

The same thing happened to my 3gs. I had a good jailbreak at first. Then I tried to download siriport and it would not reboot after installing that. So I restored it to factory setting and tried to jailbreak it again and again and again. No good. On my initial jailbreak the cydia icon was white which is par. Just reboot and it becomes the cydia icon we all love. Well every time I restore/jailbreak now the cydia icon is already there. I have all of my system icons up until I open cydia. It does its “prepare filesystem” and tell me that I’m exceeding storage levels. When in all reality I have 6 gigs free. I read in an article somewhere that cydia is actually deleting filesystem apps to make room. I can’t figure it out and I know this doesn’t help you but similar problem. I’m trying to figure out how to install mobile terminal or ssh while its jailbroken prior to opening cydia via SOMEHOW and delete cydia and reinstall it or try this cache fix. No success because files I need are from cydia, go figure. Good luck if you figure something out please reply.
iPhone 4 CDMA running 5.1.1, tried jailbreaking with Absinthe 2.0.2. I backed up before jailbreak but did not erase all content and settings. Jailbreak looked like it went fine, but after I launched Cydia, it did the “setting up file system” thing, then it disappeared… along with my Phone, Messages, Mail, Safari, Settings and Calendar apps. Is there any way to fix this other than a full restore?

When I finished jailbreak process included cydia changes file system change. After reboot, I got a white colored cydia icon. I manually rebooted my iphone 4S couple of times, everything showed up and works normal. From time to time, I do see some glitches, for example, one time, I couldn’t bring up the keyboard under Apple search screen; another time, my wi-fi indicator on top became gray, like no signal, but connection was ok. I had to turn off wifi, then back on to fix that…. but in general, seems reboot the phone can fix most of issues I had. SO far, two days after jailbroken, it seems OK.
After a “successful” jailbreak it is impossible for me to install apps not bought or downloaded via ituens. Yes, I am used to use a jailbroken iPhone…
I can’t play purchased music on my 4S 5.1.1 its doing my head in. Any help is appreciated guys otherwise i will have to restore and forget absinthe. Cheers

i downloaded the 2.0.2 absinthe jailbreak for windows, and i opened it, and it finished extracting itself, but it doesnt create the new absinthe 2.0 folder. whats wrong?? idk what to do

Same here… i can no longer ssh to my idevice. I can not sync with itunes error 0x800000xxxxx everytime i connect them to itunes. openssh and afc2add installed from cydia but still no luck.

Iphone 4, 5.1.1 – installed jb, everything worked great, but all my photos are missing. I used ifile and the var/mobile/media/dcim and my photos are in 2 folders. 100apple and 101apple. Why do they not show up on my camera roll?

I read about upgrading fw to but every place seems to have outdated sources for needed software or unclear instructions.

I used this to jailbreak my iphone 3gs and now i am having problems with my ipod. It will not play some songs then other times it will play a song but say its playing a completely different song. And if its on shuffle it completely messes up. Like after i play 6 or 7 songs, it will not play anymore. Can anyone help?

I extracted the files and everything seemed to be going smoothly but when i tried to start it, it went to a screen that said extracting and eventually just crashed.

I just completed the Absinthe 2.0.1 jailbreak for my iPad2.When I opened Cydia it did it’s process then closed. When it closed the icon and the APP icon disappeared. How do you recover these items. I am using windows 7 and I am on iOS 5.1.1.

If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

Hi, I have three iphone 4 from AT&T all now updated to 5.1.1(9B206)baseband 4.12.01 used Absinthe to jailbreak them, while one was installing Absinthe one came up with an error, cannot remember the error was but cydia was still installed, tried ultrasn0w to unlock it and it worked but the other two are still locked, I have had them all for a couple of weeks and they were all locked when i got them, now one works perfectly with any sim, does anyone have any idea how this could work and if there might be a way to unlock the others.
