How To Remove an Audio Track from a video using iMovie on Mac – Have you ever been in a situation where you felt to remove the audio track from a movie? Although there is no direct way of doing it, it can be easily achieved with the help of iMovie. The steps below will guide you through the complete procedure.
- After you’ve opened the iMovie, go to the File Menu and select “Import”. Then select “Movies” and select the movie you want to remove audio from.
- The next thing is to hold and drag the video in to the Project library.
- Right-clicking on the video will display a menu; choose “Detach Audio” option. This will extract the audio from the movie and the audio will be displayed below the video track, in purple.
- Clicking on the purple audio track will select it and you, then, can delete it by pressing the Delete key.
So now you have a video without any audio and you can do whatever you want, to it. Enjoy adding new audio to it or extract the audio-less video as per your requirement. What do you think about this method? Let us know in the comments section below.
