How to use Google Maps in iOS 6 - Apple released iOS6 with more than 200 amazing features and one of these features was the prominent completely new Maps application by Apple which replaced the Google Maps in iOS. Step 1: Open up Safari and Go to the following address
Maps.google.com
Step 2: This is a perfect alternative to the Google Maps application for iOS. It will also ask you to “Allow Location services”.
Step 3: On your iPhone, Tap on the arrow button on the bottom bar. While iPad users can click on the arrow button next to the address bar.
Step 4: In the middle of all options, you will see “Add to Home Screen”, Tap on it.
Step 5: It will ask you to write the name of shortcut. After writing, tap on “Add” button.
That’s it! A new icon will added on your iPhone or iPad’s home screen. Whenever, you will tap on this icon, it will redirect you to Google Maps website in Safari.
One thing should be clear that it doesn’t support many features of iOS app such as Street view but still “Something is better than nothing”.
This method will also work for “Nokia Maps” which are also far better than Apple Maps.
