Install IOS 6 Without UDID Developer Account
How to install iOS 6 on your iPhone, iPod and iPad without UDID developer account - After the release of Apple’s iOS 6 beta 1 many iPhone users were curious how to got it so fast, While the public release is not out until later this year, Apple gives early access to developers. The easiest way to get iOS 6 is to become a developer at Apple’s Dev Center but by this instructions below you will be able to install iOS 6 without developer account (UDID registration) on your iPhone, iPod Touch or iPad.
- Backup your data and do a fresh restore of iOS 5.1.1 If your are already jailbroken
- If you got over excited and already updated to iOS 6, you would need to downgrade to iOS 5.1.1. Plug your iOS device into your computer with iTunes and boot into Recovery Mode by holding both home and lock buttons until the screen goes entirely black. Release the lock button while holding the home button until iTunes pops up with a message. Perform a restore to iOS 5.1.1 from there.
- Download iOS 6 Beta 1 from here
- Download the latest version of iTunes form here
Notes: This instructions have been tested on iTunes 10.6.1 for Windows and upgraded from iOS 5.1.1 to iOS 6 beta on iPod Touch 4G.

Wow, I got no credit
Yeah I know, they deleted my comment that I put, with your video. Shows how good the absinthe team are, they steal stuff and claim it there own.
This is not the absinthe team….this is sorta like a fanboys site.
Ahh I see why now – thats even worse.
The stuff they put up is handy but credit should be given where due.
I could not active after installing iOS 6 beta, please help
As much as I enjoy the posts from Absinthe, I think credit is due where needed.
This method was founded by Marksy72 on youtube – a personal friend, and upon looking, he was the first to have a method to get iOS 6 beta with UDID registration through this method.

Thanks!!! It works! First one to work!
Working great…
it didn’t work for me
Last activation screen: If you are member of the program please register yor device in the @@url@@.
I did it thank you very much
How?
mine was also stuck on the activation screen. how did you fix it?
I could not get active my I pad 2. Any one knows how activate aftere installing iOS 6 Beta ?
Do a fresh restore of 5.1.1 and activate 5.1.1 – then click to update. If your activated on iOS 5.1.1 and you just update, your already activated – why would you need to be again?
I have same problem. If you are member of the program please register yor device in the @@url@@. How did u fix it? PLEASE HELP!
How to exit recovery?
hold the power button (top right corner for iphone 4s, iphone 4, ipod 4, ipad 2 and ipad 3) and the home button (bottom centre) until the screen flashes and the apple logo appears
Always back to restore mode (ikon cable with iTunes) I have 3GS.
recovery mode
disconnect your iPhone from your computer and try doing the instructions i told you before but instead of letting go when the apple logo appears, keep on holding it until the screen becomes blank (this turns your iPhone off), wait for about 5-10 mins then turn your iPhone on by pressing the power button. this should boot your iPhone normally.
if that doesn’t work then you can use a third party tool such as TinyUmbrella or RecBoot to escape recovery mode
if using the third party tool doesn’t work then unfortunately you will have go along with the restore on your iDevice (but you can do a backup just before iTunes wipes everything and reinstalls the firmware)
Don`t work
Back recovery mode
im afraid you will have to go along with the restore as all the other options didn’t work. but iTunes gives you the opportunity to do a backup just before you restore.
How to do a backup
1. In iTunes click on restore
2. Wait a few moments as iTunes confirms the restor with the apple server
3. A message will pop up saying if you want to do a back up or not. Click “Back Up”
Wait approx. 10 min as iTunes restores your iPhone
4. After the restore is complete, iTunes will ask you if you want to load a back up
5. Select the latest backup and click Done
6. Wait 1-5 mins depending on how much storage you’ve used on your iPhone
7. Your iPhone should return to its normal state
Says “Firmware file is not compatible.” Trying to do update on iPhone 4s
re-download the iOS 6 Beta 1 firmware and try again
Also download the latest iTunes
Its working perfectly……! Thanks guys..!
Jail broken devices must be restored back to IOS 5.1.1.
2. Must have the updated version of I tunes..!
3. Don’t hit Shift + Restore… Its Shift + Update…! Select the downloaded IOS 6 beta file and the upgrade begins.
Njoy trying the IOS 6 Beta Version..!
My iPhone 4S is stuck on the Apple (and bar) screen. I have the iTunes 10.6.3 and over 20 minutes and still no upgrade. I used the non-UDID update, so any ideas? My phone was restored to iOS 5.1.1 before trying the new update. Your help is needed!
hold the power button (top right corner for iphone 4s, iphone 4, ipod 4, ipad 2 and ipad 3) and the home button (bottom centre) until the screen flashes and the apple logo appears BUT DO NOT LET GO until it flashes again and the apple logo does not appear any more (you have just turned your iPhone 4S off). unplug your iPhone 4S (if you haven’t already). while your iPhone is still off, hold the home button then plug your iPhone into your computer STILL HOLDING THE HOME BUTTON until a picture with a USB cord and the iTunes logo pops up. iTunes will open and it will say “iTunes has detected an iPhone in recovery mode and must be restored”. click on Restore and restore as you normally would.
also download a new copy of the .ipsw file as the one you have downloaded could have been corrupted in some way
Works great on iPad 2 Wifi!
Please can you tell me How did you activet i pad 2 after restoring iOS 6 Mine stuck in activetion page ?
U don’t restore! U click the update button! Pc shift and Mac option. Then get the ipsw file of its 6 beta. It will work.
I’m having the stuck on apple logo with loading bar problem too (iPhone 4 GSM.) When you say “put it in recovery mode” do you want it back on 5.1.1? Or try 6.0 again?
back on iOS 5.1.1. if you restore to iOS 6, you might risk corrupting your iPhone and having to take it to an Apple Store to fix it but they might not accept it because you tried to install a beta firmware that you weren’t authorized to install since you are not a developer
Alright, thanks for the help.
also download a new copy of the .ipsw file as the one you have downloaded could have been corrupted in some way.
I’ll give that a go.
Totally worked, thanks man.
Thanks, It works great on iPhone (factory unlocked)
But what if a new version of ios 6 beta comes out. Do you have to update it with itunes again just like the first time to get ios 6? Or is it possible to upgrade from your device itself.
It’s like plug n play, nice and it’s not much exciting
So I have a IPad 3 already on 5.1.1. Do I need to do a fresh restore to 5.1.1 even though I am on it? Or can I download, OPT/Update, select iOS 6 and done?
Cllick the update button with the ipsw file of is 6.
Don’t restore.
What if i accidentally did restore and now can’t find a way to get out of the developer page?
Works flawless..just followed the steps.
Updated iTunes, downloaded for iPad 2, Shift + Update, finds folder but cant find firmware, just empty folders?
Says “Firmware file is not compatible.” Trying to do update on iPhone 4
Download the latest iTunes and download a new copy of ios 6 as the one you have downloaded could have been corrupted in some way
Is it possible for Apple to brick your device if you get iOS 6 beta this way?
They can but they won’t because it would cut off the devs to.
Alright thanks. Looks like I’ll be updating to iOS 6 then (:
Hey , I have an iPhone 4 5.1.1 unlocked via Gevey wIth baseband preservation. Can I upgrade to ios 6? Plz reply ….
thanks
its work
After i updated to 6.0 i get this messege on my ipod “This device is not registered as part of the iPhone Developer Program.”

Thanks so much, it worked!
Thanks! Worked great on my Verizon iPhone 4S
Thank you it works
I would. Like to download cydia
mine has not services.. i think it’s not available for singapore?
Worked perfect on iPad 3 CDNA. I’m assuming to return to iOS 5.1.1 (if necessary) you’d just restore (downgrade) to that using the ipsw. Correct?
I really dont understand….
i’m doing everything right but when it is updating it stuck on preparing iPod for restor and then i having problem number 1602 ive tried ireb everything…
What should I do ????
And how do I know that my iPod activated ?
doesnt work and now cant restore to 5.1.1
i just updated to o6 beta 2 but it is stuck at the activation screen and its saying you need to be a developer. PLEASE HELP. My phone is not working.
This still works, for those having problems, you can restore to 5.1.1 by downloading it somewhere.
THANKYOU! I GOT STUCK AT THE SET UP FOR IOS 6. I HAVE BEEN SERCHING FOR AN AWNSER TO HOW TO GET BACK TO IOS 5 AND YOU TOLD ME THANKYOU!!!!
???????????????????????????????????????????????
worked like a charm for me?!

OH MY GOD! THIS ACTUALLY WORKED!
After trying 3 times from restore and feeling frustrated, I turned to Google again, and found this site. I am totally lost for words. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU

Calming down a bit, I think that ‘updating’ the software really was the correct way to go, since ‘restoring’ would make you set up your phone again, allowing Apple to see if your phone is authorized for a set up. AMAZING.
After i updated to 6.0 i get this messege on my ipod “This device is not registered as part of the iPhone Developer Program.”
Me too. This shit is not working now. Apple has closed the door.
