iOS 6 beta 3 AirPlay feature on Apple TV, Last month, Apple released iOS 6 with more than 200 features. Some of them were the Keynotes such as totally redesigned “Maps” app, improved Siri integration, VIP Calling and many others. However, other hidden features are being unveiled with the release of every beta version of iOS 6. Yesterday, we posted that iOS 6 beta 3 has a redesigned music app which helps users to complete their album.
The folks over FlatPanelsHD has pointed out that Apple has enhanced the ability of AirPlay on Apple TV. Using the latest iOS 6, Apple TV will automatically detect the external speakers and will use them for sound. What will be the benefit of this feature? This best thing about this feature is that users will be able to access all music from iCloud right on their Apple TV and can play it without any using external speakers.
Here’s what they posted on their Blog:
“Soon-to-be-released iOS 6 has a new interesting feature for the Apple TV box. In the AirPlay menu users can now select which AirPlay-enabled speakers they want the TV sound coming out from. Never again will you have to use audio cables when connecting external speakers to your TV.”
Enabling this feature will make Apple TV more independent; however, there are certain limitations with it. Users will not be able to connect 5.1 channel speakers with Apple TV. Moreover, you will have to disable the Dolby Digital from the settings menu on Apple TV otherwise you will hear very low sound.
