iOS App-Switching Done Right By New Jailbreak Tweak – I don’t think there is any need to remind people about the thing that Apple keeps bragging about that “iOS is the most advanced mobile operating system” stuff but there is one big hole in iOS. Multitasking in iOS still lacks the design and simplicity that is present in the latest versions of Android (ICS and Jelly Bean). For switching apps, you have to double tap the home button which displays a row with all the open apps while closing them takes another two taps. Well, this time, Apple needs to learn as a new jailbreak tweak aims to add a touch of detail and elegancy to the iOS app switcher.
iOS App-Switching Done Right By New Jailbreak Tweak
Auxo will be finally making its debut as a jailbreak tweak soon as prior to that, it was only a concept created by a few users of TheVerge forum. This tweak enables you to control app switching by a number of useful little gestures. For example, swiping down on an app in app switcher kills it, while swiping left brings up both the music controls as well as the toggle controls for adjusting brightness or turning Wi-Fi on/off.
Another thing Auxo does is that it shows much more than just app icons on the app switcher. Instead of app icons, it also displays a small screenshot of the app itself along with a minuscule icon. The added screen real estate of the iPhone 5 may really take good use of this feature but only when it is jailbroken (not a fate we have achieved yet).
Auxo is not yet available on Cydia but according to its developers, it will be coming in a few days and will be compatible with iOS 6.
Auxo is now available you can get it from Cydia’s BigBoss repo for $1.99 if you have a jailbroken iPhone running iOS 6
