iPad mini – Everything you need to know - Last month, Apple released iPhone 5 which is exactly similar to different mockups and rumored images. Now, we are waiting for iPad mini, which is the second most rumored product after the iPhone 5. We are not sure that what it will be called, but perhaps smaller iPad or iPad mini. This tablet will have size of about 7” and it will compete with famous Android Tablets such as Amazon Kindle Fire and Google Nexus 7. Read out after the Jump.

Shape and Design:

According to different rumors, iPad mini will be 7.85” with iPhone like anodized Aluminum back. It will have less tapered edges. However, it will surely have lightning dock connector. The headphone jack will be on top of the iPad.

However, just like the new iPhone 5, smaller iPad will be thinner as compared to iPad 2 or new iPad. We have also learned that it will be very easy to accommodate with smaller iPad resolution so all the iPad apps will run easily.

Hardware:

After confirming the Resolution of iPad 2, many rumors are also having that iPad mini will have A5 Processor which is the same processor as that of iPad2 or iPhone 4S. As far as the RAM is concerned, it will have 512 MB Ram. A recent leak from UkrainianiPhone also confirmed that iPad mini will also have SIM slot which means it will be a 3G model.

Different leaks and cases also show that it will have rear and front facing camera. Last but not least, it will surely have new dock connector, Called Lightning.

Price:

This is one of the most important and controversial parameters, but according to iMore the price of iPad mini will be somewhat between $199 and $299 only. But still there is confusion; Apple has already introduced an iPod Touch 5^th generation for $299. Introduction of a cheaper iPad will kill the market of newly unreleased iPod Touch.

However, one thing is sure; iPad mini will be slightly costly as compared to Android Tablets such as Google Nexus 7 and Amazon Kindle Fire HD.

Release Date:

Yesterday, we posted a rumor from Fortune that iPad mini will be launched on 17^th October however; Apple will start sending invitations after 10^th October. We are pretty sure about this date. Let’s wait and watch that What Apple will do?
