iPad Mini Features, Price - After months and months of rumors, leaks, speculations and God knows whatever, it is here, it is finally here. Apple has lifted off the curtains from the smaller brother of the iPad, the iPad Mini has finally arrived to fight the Nexus 7 and the Kindle Fire HD.
The iPad Mini is every bit like the one we expected minus the iSight camera. It has a 7.9 inch display with the same amount of pixels as the iPad 2, 1,024-by-768 so the developers don’t need to even update their apps to make them compatible with it which means that all the 275,000 apps designed for the iPad available in the App Store are already compatible with it. Specs wise, the iPad Mini has an A5 processor (the same one used in the iPad 2 and the iPhone 4S), FaceTime HD front-side camera and a five-megapixel iSight camera on the back that does 1080p video. That iSight camera is the only thing that we didn’t know about beforehand and it does make a nice addition.
The iPad Mini is made of Aluminum and Apple’s build quality is as always, top notch. It also has the same LTE capabilities as the fourth-generation iPad and the Wifi is said to be twice as fast. While in connectivity, the iPad Mini has a lightning connector port as expected.
And lastly, the price of the iPad Mini is $329 for the 16 GB Wi-Fi only model and $459 for the 4G one. The price increases a 100 bucks for doubling the storage. It is a bit on the higher side but seems worth it when you consider that it also has a 5 MP rear camera.
