iPhone 3GS Stock is lowered Before iPhone 5 Launch
iPhone 3GS Stock is lowered Before iPhone 5 Launch – As the supposed iPhone launch date is coming nearer, we are hearing different rumors and news pointing towards the release of it. Earlier today, we posted about leaked images of the iPhone 5 and we have already covered all the iPhone 5 related news in one post. With the release of iPhone 5, what will Apple do with its existing iPhone line up? Will you be able to get the iPhone 3GS even after iPhone 5 release?
As we already know that Apple is selling iPhone 3GS for absolutely free of cost with a two year contract. But with the release of new iPhone, other iPhones will also get a price drop which will eventually make iPhone 4 as absolutely free of cost while iPhone 3GS will be probably extinct from Apple Store.
According to a new poste by 9to5mac:
“Ahead of Apple’s likely September 12th iPhone-related media event, Apple has warned its retail store Genius Bars of low iPhone 3GS stock. According to a note sent to Genius Bar employees worldwide, “until further notice,” Genius Bars should perform the following for iPhone 3GSs: screen repairs, discuss the advantages of buying a new iPhone, and lastly, swapping out the full iPhone 3GS hardware…
…With supplies of the iPhone 3GS so low, Apple even tells employees to swap out affected 3GSs with an iPhone 4 replacement unit. That is if the particular store is completely out of the 3GS…”
It gives us a complete idea of Apple of discontinuing the iPhone 3GS or it will be go for the $100 or $200 for pay as you go customers. The thing which is appreciable is that although iPhone 3GS is three year old device yet it will receive iOS 6 updates which throws Apple ahead of Android. Are you still confused about the pricing of the iPhone 5? We have a little idea of it: iPhone 5 will be sold for $199, iPhone 4S for $99 and the iPhone 4 for absolutely free of cost.
That’s what we think, what do you think that Apple will do with iPhone 3GS? Let us know in the comments section below.
