I can’t seem to get past the ‘please wait…’ screen. I’ve restored iOS 6.0.1 about 10 times and tried to jailbreak over and over again but it never loads past that. Anyone have any ideas?!

    Thanks,

    Sabs

    • vonJonssing says:

Same here… just getting an error and says i got to reboot to normal mode and do a “slide to power of”. Then try redsnow again…

      • vonJonssing says:

So. i managed to get jailbraking part to work. Restored the phone to fabric. But now theres a new problem. When im started the just boot part, and redsnow is done and the pineapplelogo shows up, its supposed to start from there? and not get the appleloga between? quz im getting the applelogo and its like frezes there… to get the phone working again i need to do a reboot. and then im back to the beginning again…
have tried 6 times now i think, but i dont manage to get it working properly :(

        • austinDean says:

Use red snow and click extras> recovery fix. That will get rid of the recovery loop and freeze.

        • Courtney says:

If the “jailbreak” part of the method is working but you get the frozen apple logo after you see the pineapple logo, then this is because you are using the wrong build. Almost all of the issues I am seeing here on this post are due to not using the correct build. Please see my comments below for 12/12/12.

        • barneyfckinstinson says:

how did u manage to work it? cause i got the same problem… PLEASE WAIT for hours… its not working! im on iphone 4, i selected manually the 6.O ipsw, click jailbreak, and after when its going to install on my phone, the PLEASE WAIT thing appears again and again and again!

          • cj says:

I also have the same problem, I was stuck at the “please wait loop” for 15 minutes, then after random text appear at an incredible speed, Iphone reboot and I’m back at the apple logo. HAHA. I suck n doing this jailbreak thingy.

    • Iree says:

If it says Please Wait… Then you have downloaded the wrong ipsw.

If you tried iPhone3,2_6.0_10a403_Restor.ipsw and it says please wait. Try iPhone3,1_6.0_10a4_Restore.ipsw and it should work.

      • hammad says:

        anybbody know?
bcuz they r saying download ios 6.0 in the pic and etc (to jailbreak the ios 6.0.1?)

    • syed07 says:

i had the same problem when i tried to jail break using redsnow… the solution is to use snowbreeze-v2.9.7
to jail break instead of red snow and its easy to jail break using snowbreeze than redsnow…. hope your problem is solved!!!

  2. kev says:

  4. nickey says:

My iphone 3gs used to be jailbroken but I accidentally updated on itunes for 6.0.1 so it started all over. I tried a different jailbreak so everytime my phone turns all, all it shows on the screen is the connection cable and itunes (signaling to plug into itunes). This works but then on when it goes to the iphone it says error please reboot in normal mode.

I can’t do that because my iphone isn’t in normal mode. And I have t-mobile but don’t have the simcard yet.

  5. harsh says:

Go to iTunes. Hold Alt/Option down on the keyboard and click Uodate. Select the desired iOS and then Open. Click update on the pop-up box and iTunes will verify and update ur device, jumping you past the activation screen.

    • steven says:

Go to your download folder or wherever you saved the restore file and just drag it to your desktop and choose it from there. DO NOT NEED itunes for this.

  15. Devan says:

Did the whole process, downloaded redsn0w 0.9.15b3, got the firmware (iphone3,3 6.0, used it for the jail break, got all the way through the process untill it was time to “Just BooT”! clicked on just boot, waited for the pinapple, and it froze and said “Missing Keys, plist data for this build!?? Whats up??

  16. Ben says:

It says the jail break is for IOS 6.0.1, I downloaded the correct IPSW file for an Iphone4 with Ios 6.0.1 but then redsnow says:
That IPSW is not supported by this version of redsn0w.

    Why?!

    • Ben says:

Seriously! What the fuck am I supposed to do. I just updated to 6.0.1 and I can’t downgrade and the fucking jailbreak doesn’t work. Fucking bullshit

      • Lag0 says:

You need to use the 6.0 IPSW. Its essentially the same firmware, with just minor bugfixes, so it works to jailbreak iOS 6.0.1. I just did it last night on my CDMA Iphone4 on 6.0.1

        • Klein says:

Yeah I tried the 6.0.1 ipsw and that didn’t work then i see in support that someone says to use the 6.0 one – which one is it folks? you have it posted both ways and neither seems to work. I’ve tried both and neither work. “Missing plist on the 6.0″ one.

  17. Shahid says:

    When Iphone 4s ios 6.0.1 is coming?we are waiting….plz help me z

  18. Monju says:

when iphone 4s ios 6.0.1 jailbreak is Coming.plz help me plz

  19. Courtney says:

For anyone having issues with the “Missing Keys.plist data for this build:” error or if you are getting stuck at an image of nothing but a pineapple, then it is because you are using the incorrect IPSW build files for your iPhone 4 and you have to keep in mind that there are 4 different builds which are iPhone4,1 – iPhone3,1 – iPhone3,2 and iPhone3,3. The “iPhone3,1 – iPhone3,2 and iPhone3,3″ builds are still for the iPhone 4, so don’t let the build numbers fool you.

If you are receiving the “Missing Keys.plist data for this build:” error message or if you are getting stuck at an image of nothing but a pineapple, then this is because you are using the incorrect build for your phone. All you need to do is to download and install the correct build and then you will be good to go.

If this isn’t the fix for your problem, then I do not know what to tell you, looks like you’re screwed for now.

    • klein says:

Um yeah that doesn’t work. Tried both the global build (which was recommended here by a couple people who said the normal at&t one didn’t work). Both the global and at&t one are both giving me the missing plist crap. Ideas?

  20. Courtney says:

Also, for those that are still confused, this IS the jailbreak for the iPhone 4s, GSM, Global and CDMA….however you WILL NOT and CANNOT use the “iOS 6.0.1″ build to jailbreak the iOS 6.0.1. You MUST use the iOS 6.0 build for the jailbreak, otherwise you are just wasting your time and not paying attention to detail :-)

    • klein says:

If that were true then why am i getting a missing plist when i try to use the 6.0 and then when i try to use the 6.0.1 it says not supported with this version of pineapplewhateverthisis? why even post links to the ipsw’s that don’t work????

  21. Anibal rodriguez says:

All goes well until the part of downloading jailbreak because it will give the white letters and black out there please wait an amount of time and does nothing

    • Courtney says:

You are using the wrong iPhone build. If you are getting stuck on the “Please wait….” that takes up the screen from top to bottom then this is because the script is timing out because it is looking for information that is not compatible with the build you have selected. I would suggest downloading ALL of the builds (there are only 4) and then attempt to install them one by one until you find the right build.

My iPhone’s model number tells me that it is a GMS, however the GMS build did not work. I had to use the “Global” build and that worked perfectly.

  22. Ron says:

Get all the wat to the part were you just reboot and ther get missing keys plist stuff, but I am using the correct build. The entire process worked until then which would hace been step 9

  23. Just some hippie dude says:

Alright. So i have an AT&t Iphone 4 on 6.1. I downloaded the “Download iOS 6 iPhone 4 (AT&T)” and everything seemed okay until i got to the “please wait” screen with white letters, black background. It Would take 10 minutes for it to do anything then reboot with apple logo. Download the Global version instead of the AT&T ios version. Hoped this helped someone.

  37. ElTuyo says:

    Hello all,
I have an Iphone 4 with iOS 6.0.1 and BB 4.12.02.
I have used RedSnow 0.9.15b3 and went to Extras, selected the following ipsw:
    iPhone3,2_6.0_10A403_Restore 10-30-47.ipsw

I end stuck with my iphone sayin “please wait” in the black background. I’ve read here I should use another ipsw, so I downloaded all these ones:
    iPhone3,1_6.0_10A403_Restore.ipsw
    iPhone3,1_6.0.1_10A523_Restore.ipsw
    iPhone3,2_6.0_10A403_Restore.ipsw

The problem is that it doesn’t work with any of them, RedSnow says sth like non-compatible with that ipsw…So that’s where I’m stuck now.

I use it through a Mac, so I cannot use snowbreeze.

Does anyone know if there’s any solution or maybe any step I might be taking for granted (i dont know, I followed the instructions several times…)

    Thanks in advance

    Hey guys,
I successfully jailbroke my iPhone 4 6.0.1 (AT&T) today. I had some trouble at first so in case anyone else is having trouble here are a couple tips.

First, if you get the missing keys.plist error when you try and “Just Boot” then look on the right hand side of this page. There is a useful link there which will rid you of your troubles. The steps may seem meaningless but hey, whatever works, and this did for me.

Secondly if you try and jailbreak but your “matrix” screens gets the the Please Wait.. part and just goes on endlessly shut off your device, download the ispw that starts with “Iphone 3,1″ which should be the global version. This also worked for me. YES Iphone “3″.. Its just the way they titled it, no worries, we know you have an iPhone 4
