How to Jailbreak iOS 6 beta 2 with Redsn0w 0.9.13 Dev 2 on iPhone 4S, 4, 3GS – iPad 3, 2 – iPod Touch 4G – few hours ago Apple pushed it’s second beta iOS 6 for developers with some improvements, so its time now for the jailbreak lovers to jailbreak this new iOS 6 beta follow our instructions below.

Note: You have to know that iOS 6 beta 2 firmware is for developers only if you don’t have a developer account check our link posted here

  • iPod touch 4G
  • iPhone3GS
  • iPhone4 (GSM)
  • iPhone4 (CDMA)

How To Jailbreak iOS 6 beta 2 with Redsn0w 0.9.13 Dev 2

Step 1: Google iOS 6 beta 2 and install it.

Step 2: Now you have to put your device in DFU mode.

  • Hold down power button and home button both at the same time for 10 seconds
  • After the 10 seconds release the power button and still pressing on the home button for another 10 seconds

Step 3: Download RedSn0w 0.9.13dev 1 and open it.

Step 4: Click Extras

Select IPSW –> and point to your iOS 6 beta 1 firmware.

Step 5: Go back to the main screen and click Jailbreak. Make sure Install SSH is checked. This jailbreak does not install Cydia.

Step 6: Once the jailbreak has finished, place your device back into DFU mode, and go back to Extras > Select IPSW, and again point to your iOS 6 beta 1 firmware. Once identified, select Just boot from the Extras menu to perform a tethered boot. That’s it. Enjoy your jailbroken iOS 6 beta 2 installation.

This jailbreak does not install Cydia, but you can use SSH to install Cydia as noted in this Guide.

    The instruction says “How to Jailbreak iOS 6 beta 2 with Redsn0w 0.9.13 Dev 2 on iPhone 4S, 4, 3GS – iPad 3, 2 – iPod Touch 4G.” but later when the main instruction starts there is no mention of 4s in the supported devices section so the question is will this work for a 4s or not. I could have tested it but at work we are not given admin rights so unfortunately i cannot test it right now… Any clarification will be nice.

      It does not work for the 4S yet, sorry.
