How To Jailbreak iPhone 3GS On iOS 5.1.1 Using Redsnow [Win / Mac] - Yesterday Dev-team Released Redsn0w 0.9.14b1 to help iPhone 3GS, 3G baseband 6.15.00 to downgrade to 05.13.04 baseband and be able to jailbreak and use ultrasnow free unlock solution, we will show you some instructions on how to jailbreak iPhone 3GS and 3G on iOS 5.1.1 using Redsnow 0.9.14b1.
Important Notes
Note 1: This tutorial is on how to jailbreak your iPhone 3GS / 3G on iOS 5.1.1 using redns0w so you have to update your firmware to iOS 5.1.1 before using this tutorial. Also if you tend to unlock your iPhone 3GS /3G after downgrading to 05.13.04 you can use our link posted here
Note 2: You have to save your SHSH Blobs before starting the tutorial.
Note 3: You can upgrade to the iPad baseband 6.15.00 then downgrade to 05.13 for unlock check Install iPad Baseband. YOU CAN ONLY DO THIS IF DIGITS 3-5 of your device’s serial number are less than 134.
Jailbreak iPhone 3GS On iOS 5.1.1 Using Redsnow :
Jailbreak Required
- Download Redsnow
- Redsn0w 0.9.14b1 (Mac)
- Redsn0w 0.9.14b1 (Windows)
- Download the latest firmware version from here but you don’t have to download iOS 5.1.1 firmware if you are already running it.
Step 1: After downloading Redsnow Extract it by double clicking on it.
Step 2: Once RedSn0w opens click the Jailbreak button
Step 4: Then you will be informed by the message below now you have to choose between the DFU ramdisk method or the backup/restore method, Click Yes to use the DFU ramdisk method.
Step 5: Anther question RedSn0w will ask you whether you have a new model or older model of the iPhone 3GS.
Step 6: Plug your iPhone into the computer and make sure its OFF then click the Next button
Step 7: Now it’s time to put your iPhone into DFU mode. (Here’s the steps below for how to put your iPhone into DFU mode).
- Hold down power button and home button both at the same time for 10 seconds.
- After the 10 seconds release the power button and still pressing on the home button for another 10 seconds.
Step 8: Your iPhone will start rebooting.
Step 9: RedSn0w will prepare the jailbreak data.
Step 10: Select Cydia from the list of options and click Next.
Step 11: Your iPhone will now be rebooted again and RedSn0w will begin uploading the new RAM Disk and Kernel.
Step 12: Once this is complete you will be notified that RedSn0w is done. Now your iPhone will start rebooting and Cydia should appear on the SpringBoard.

it doesn’t work i tried it and now my iphone is stuck on the loading circle and ive treid to restore it but, the server could’t be found what should i do???

There is 2 types of Iphone as i know.. 1 type is unlocked type… the other type is locked type.. especially UK phone.. so beware when you are jailbreak it.. Easy to jailbreak but hard to unlock.. so do a proper research and save ur SHSH
is this untethered?
I’ve re-jail broke and unlocked my iPhone 3GS several times now using redsn0w. Apparently I have the newer version 3GS that they warn you about. Anytime my phone shuts down (accidentally,deliberately or inexplicably) I’m back in the tethered mode and have to go back to extras to get it back working properly (US T-Mobile).
Has anyone else experienced this and found a solution? (redsn0w_mac_0.9.14b2)
