just check date and time of your PC, Laptop. If this not work try Google chrome.

post installation of the latest iOS 5.1.1 the phone does not get activated…itunes gives a message that the phone cannot be activated because there is no sim attached…i have tried using a couple of sims but no success…PLS Help!!!

Cydia does not unlock your iPhone/iPad, you need to download other software to do this. Ultrasn0w is very successful in this. You need to download it through Cydia though. If you are having difficulty finding it then Google it.

you don’t need exactly the same SIM card, get the one which is on same network then you can activate it

I am not seeing any jailbreak guides for iOS 6 on this page. The only guide I see is for 5.1.1. Is this untethered? Do I use absinthe or redsnow?

Have installed and jailbroken Redsnow iphone 4 when trying to finish installing sidia using winscp got error message (network error: connection refused) have tried everything to fix. used right ip address actually both ip and router #’s . I want cydia and siris added ! Any help would be appreciated. Ed
so i downloded absithne or how ever it is spelled by erasing everythig on my phone like it said so down load would be faster. it downed and then i backed it up using my computer….evrything was running smoothly till i click on cydia and the it said it was loading something. the it shut my phone off and came back on with nothing….i mean litterally nothing no txt symbol, or call or even the internet…….nothing its all blank except the background…..so now what

Normally you can directly update to iOS 6 from iTunes but you Will lose you’re jailbreak and I think that They Will introduce. The new iOS 6 untethered jailbreak Tomorrow so If I was you I woudn’t update en wait for THE untethered jailbreak
I do step by step. Dfu work as well but when comes to the end of instal by redsnow instead of message then the rest will run on device it shows me build error fingerprint and some number code. All on iPhone 3GS with iOS 6.0 and same on 4.33. Any advice??

how do you download ios firmwares
You can find some here or you can go to google and search your device and the the firmware you want.
e.g
Iphone 3gs ios 6 firmware
Ipod 4th gen ios 6 firmware
iphone 4 ios 6 firmware

Stay with 5.1.1 othervise you will have to go to the whole procedure of backing up, saving SHSH Blobs, upgrading IOS, jailbreaking and reinstalling all sources, tweaks, themes, etc.
What a hassle for no real improvement… Also, many tweaks and themes working with 5.1.1 don’t work with IOS 6+!!!

I have an i phone 3gs. it was country locked and indicated as no service. the os was 5.1.1. i tried to jailbreak and fix it. didn’t work out. then i’ve fixed it using i os 4.1. now it’s working. but it’s too old and some softwares doesn’t support. i want to upgrade it i os 5.1.1 again without losing the signal again. can anyone help me please??
