I can’t get it to work on my iPhone 3gs either. Rocky Racoon 5.1.1 installs correctly but instead of REBOOT i get RETURN TO CYDIA, and the device is still tethered. Any solutions?
Hi, think I’ve made the big newbie mistake on my iPad 2 (5.1.1) :
- Followed jailbreak operations with Absinthe 2.0.4 (Mac OSX) : Cydia installed.
- Tried to launch Cydia : Cydia refused to launch.
- Displayed iPad content with iFunBox : selected Cydia then deleted it (think this is the fatal error).
- Re-tried the whole Absinthe jailbreak procedure many times (including initialization from the very first iPad backup) and always get the same message : “ERROR: Device already jailbroken! Detected untether”.
Am I definitly screwed up or is there any solution ?
No your fine, just restore the device and rejailbreak. If you have a large amount of media I recommend redsn0w because I think it handles it better, sometimes absinthe has a had a problem where it doesn’t unhide your media(I haven’t had that problem with redsn0w yet). But whichever you choose to use is fine, just restore it(I also recommend setting it up as a new device it seems to help with battery) and rejailbreak.
