You need to jailbreak again and this time select the “Downgrade from Ipad Baseband” option in redsnow. After the jailbreak, boot tethered using redsnow and you would get service.
Redsnow is not working on 3gs baseband 6.15.00 (Ipad baseband). Downgrading it would fix yout issue

You have installed ipad baseband, now you need to the same again but chose downgrade baseband, then you instal ultrasnow, ultrasnow fixer, reeboot using redsnow and voilá:)
always select IPSW IOS 6.0, not 6.0.1.

hi, i did jailbreak, but theres no service on phone. cydia is also there, it opens but the wifi has gone grey, cant turn on. i did installing ipad baseband again then downgrading ipad baseband as well, nothing worked. restarting, reset network setting nothing worked. tried to restore in itune, no success. no way out plese please please help.
If the wifi is greyed out, and the bluetooth, and the baseband doesn’t display, you have fried the BB chip. If it’s only the wifi, it may be another issue.
Have the same problem as JaMaN, maybe we should just stay out of this until there comes a real jailbreak for 6.0.1

I had 3Gs jailbroken with iOS 4.1, which was working fine. Tried upgrade to iOS 6.0.1 by:
1. Restore to ‘iPhone2,1_6.0.1_10A523_Restore’ using iTune 10.7
2. Choosing the ‘iPhone2,1_6.0_10A403_Restore’ IPSW, jailbreak using ‘redsn0w_win_0.9.15b3′.
3. Again using ‘iPhone2,1_6.0_10A403_Restore’ did just boot tethered.
No error with above steps, but didn’t get service.
Then based on the suggestion, I tired:
4. Installed Ultrasn0w Fixer.
Still no luck, then tried:
4. Jailbreak again to Downgrade to iPad Baseband.
5. Using ‘iPhone2,1_6.0_10A403_Restore’ did just boot tethered.
6. Re-install Ultrasn0w Fixer.
Same.. No service still..

You’ll have to repeat the process, but instead of going back and clicking Jailbreak, you’ll have to click Just Boot instead in order for Cydia to work.

Respond to mesum: Did you use Cydia to jailbreak (unclock) your iphone before you upgraded to iOS 6.0.1 using iTunes? I had same problem as you do. Was crazy about this. And I had to pay a guy to fix my phone back to iOS 4.3 ($20 for the service). Then, I checked my iphone, noted that the Cydia icon is back. It seems like he used Cydia to un-do. Anyway, I am using my iphone as a backup, and view my son as a babycam viewer.

i am from india. i just bought a jailbroken iphone 3gs, bb 6.15.00; old bootroom; ios 4.1. i decided to upgrade to ios 6.0.1 using redsnow which was when the power went off. i didnt back up my phone in itunes.
now i am stuck in recovery mode; and when ever i connect to itunes it starts restoring but then error 21, 3194 or 1602 comes. also it shows a blank next to the iphone (regarding details).
when i try redsnow to load 6.0.1 it says error start normal rebooting. if i try to load 5.1.1 it says eroor: panic you are in loop.
i would like to have the latest firmware on iphone; please guide me through.
Well for those like me in search of a solution;
Here is the method
Download iOS 4.1
Use restore in redsnow, to restore ur iPhone to 4.1
Then again use redsnow to downgrade from iPad baseband to 5.13.04
Install cydia
Once rebooted
Install ultrasnow to unlock
Reboot again and ur phone starts ( jailbroken and unlocked)

I have a Iphone 3GS and updated it to 6.0 and jail broke it though red snow but was still having the issue of no sim or no service, so i jailbroke it again down grading the bb from 6.15.00 to 5.13.04 then rebooted it, re installed ultra snow fix and then ultra snow and rebooted it once again, this worked for me,

Everybody here’s talking about using iphone 2,1_6.0_10A43, is it same for the iphone 4s or not? please help… i have jailbroken my ipod but i am afraid unlocking my iphone myself may cause it to brick… if i get a good suggestion i could do it myself saving a good sum of money….
