i had the same issue. uninstall both the fixer and the regular ultrasn0w packages from your device (through cydia sources) then downgrade your baseband by running a jailbreak with redsn0w and check only “downgrade baseband” your new baseband should be 05.13.04 after it reboots..- then from cydia again install the fixer then the regular ultrasn0w package and should be go to go

Mine was factory unlock before updating to 5.1.1 firmware. Why Apple does this shit? Then I have to update my baseband from 5.16.1 to 6.15.00 install ultrasnow, lucky me I guess after putting in my simcard it works like a charm even without installing ultrasnow fixer. But some side effects after updating your baseband is GPS seems not locating my position properly and my 3G line was not as stable as before and the last was my notification, I have to check from time to time my whatsapp, facebook and viber even thou my data was on all the time.

    • stef says:

you shouldnt have any issue with a factory unlocked device? i had issues with notifications on those apps with the 6.15 baseband… i used redsn0w to down grade baseband only to 05.13.04 and they seem fine now as does gps there is a post on here about a notifications fix for 5.1.1 >>absinthejailbreak (dot com) /forum/how-to-fix-push-notifications-not-working-after-update-to-5-1-1/

I did all this but it now says locked sim what has happened what do i do now

    • Brian says:

hey michael, your sim is locked because theres a password for it. Go to settings < carrier and press unlock, if you dont know your own password try 1234 and if that doesnt work, contact your wireless providers because they know.
