This is outdated info. Unlock is not possible thru this method. Even Gevey admitted that they merely used a software hack to enable this SIM card unlock. Delete this thread. It’s misleading and bogus.

Bro go to settings then general then network.open cellular data then type in apn settings now it depends on which sim u r using airtel or vodafone or anyother.for eg.if u r using airtel sim then type in apn coloum airtelgprs.com thats it bro then just reboot ur iphone.

I just unlocked my iphone 4s 5.1.1 with gevey sim and it works just fine. Infact amazing. Alright so I had Absinthe 2.0.4 jailbreak on the phone before the unlock and I reset my phone for the unlock because the 3G wasn’t working with the jailbreak after unlock. Now the question is “Can I jailbreak my Gevey unlocked iPhone 4s 5.1.1 with Absinthe 2.0.4′? I mean is it safe? Because I just tried jailbreaking it and the phone got deactivated and took me a while and few dead brain cells to activate it. (it did not even show up on itunes for me to activate it by restoring it).

I have an iPhone 4(5.0.1) unlocked with Gevey S. It is working fine. But whenever i turn on my 3G it works for sometime, and after that ‘No Service’ error pops up. Only Reboot works to get the signal back. Pathetic part is, whenever i use 3G i had to reboot my phone. Any suggestions ?
