Macrumors notes about the new unofficial Lightning connectors that iPhone5mod has launched which cost just half of the price of the original ones by Apple.
In total, iPhone5mod has two unofficial cables along with a 3-in-1 Starter Kit set,
- Lightning-To-USB Cable: It costs just $9.90, which is $10 less than Apple’s official $19 cable.
- Lightning-To-30 Pin Adapter: This one costs $19.90, again 50% less than the official Adapter Apple is offering for a whopping $39 price tag.
- 3-In-1 Starter Kit: This starter kit includes a Lightning-To-USB cable, a Lightning-To-30 Pin adapter along with a Lightning Dock, all for $39.90.
Here’s the catch though, both the cable and adapter have a $4 shipping cost (to US) each, while for the Starter Kit, you will have to pay a $7 shipping cost.
All the items are currently said to ship in 10-14 days, so you’ll have to wait if you want to buy these cheaper unofficial lightning connectors.
