What is “Wi-Fi plus cellular” feature in iOS 6 beta 4
What is “Wi-Fi plus cellular” feature in iOS 6 beta 4 ? Earlier this week, Apple released iOS 6 beta 4 with many new changes such as the removal of the YouTube application, enhanced Bluetooth connectivity and Wi-Fi plus cellular usage. Sometimes we are encountered in such situations that our Wi-Fi is not working properly but on the iPhone, it indicates that the cell phone is properly connected to the Wi-Fi.
So, in such a condition if you try to load a website, an application or any YouTube video, it will not work. Apple has released another feature in this new beta version to fix this problem.
This new feature is called “Wi-Fi” plus Cellular” and how it works actually? Suppose that you have enabled this feature, so if suddenly your Wi-Fi stops working, the smart iOS will automatically redirect to cellular. It is really helpful, if you are in a rush and don’t know what is going with the Wi-Fi, you can simply enable this feature.
However, this feature has some limitations; you can access and download apps from iTunes but apps greater than 50 MB will not be downloaded. Similarly, this feature stops working on a third party browsers, which means that it will properly work on Safari Web Browser but it will not work on Google Chrome or Mercury or any other web browser. Another thing is that, you can open YouTube web address from Safari but can’t stream videos from there.
Thanks to Jeff from IDB, who has posted a completed walk through for this amazing feature, you can check the video embedded below. Other working things on this iMessage, you can use iCloud Sync for notes, and can send and receive the mails using this service via cellular network. What else do you want to need is shown in the video. Don’t forget to leave a comment in the section below.
